On Thursday, February 23, 2023, we restarted the salon series after a two-year hiatus because of COVID. Our guest was four-time Grammy-Award winning percussionist, Matthew Duvall – the percussionist and co-founder of the world-renowned Eighth Blackbird ensemble.
Matthew did not perform a “concert,” per se. While he did perform a couple of pieces, the majority of the evening was teaching the attendees the basics and techniques of percussion. It’s far more complicated than one might think.
