Multiple Sclerosis – Up Close and Personal

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – Up Close and Personal

Come join Illinois Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and Neurologist Dr. Neelum Aggarwal, on Friday, February 23, 2018 for a discussion about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – Up Close and personal.

This will be an exciting evening of conversation and discussion about Multiple Sclerosis (MS)—a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).

Dr. Aggarwal, an internationally renowned neurologist, scientist and author will provide the medical perspective of MS—how the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between the brain and the rest of the body. Eventually, the disease can cause the nerves themselves to deteriorate or become permanently damaged.

Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti will then discus her personal encounter with MS, how it has affected her life and how she is meeting the challenge in a highly productive and successful manner.

Following the remarks of Dr. Aggarwal and Lt. Governor Sanguinetti, there will be ample time for informal questions and answers.

The event will take place at the residence of Dr. Nancy RG Church and Charles Jett at 180 East Pearson Street, Unit 3301, in Chicago.
